We were very surprised when Cervelo Rouvida made a mountain bike. But they did not make just one mountain bike. They made TWO mountain bikes. And now, Cervelo has made the Cervelo Rouvida e-bike.
Is this a big change?
Cervelo made a bike that can do many things. It has a drop bar and an electric motor. Many people like gravel roads, mountain bikes with little suspension, and electric bikes that help them ride faster. A company that makes what people want is normal, but Cervelo doing it is a little surprising.

Six things to know about the Cervelo Rouvida
- Cervelo’s first e-bike has a Fazua Ride60 motor that helps you go up to 28 mph (45 kph).
- Rouvida has only one gear, but you can use different kinds of shifters.
- Rouvida has parts that you can change to make the bike better for road or gravel.
- Those parts let you use tires that are 34 mm wide for road and 43.5 mm wide for gravel.
- Rouvida has four kinds of bikes: two for gravel, two for road.
- The cheapest Rouvida costs $6,200/£6,000/€ 6,799 and is a gravel bike.
Cervelo made an e-bike. They say it is not a big deal
Cervelo says that the Cervelo Rouvida e-bike is not a big change. But it is still surprising because Cervelo’s big company, PON, has other companies that make e-bikes too. But if Santa Cruz can make the Skitch gravel e-bike, Cervelo can do it too.
It also matters that Cervelo has many fans. Cervelo started in the late 1990s and became popular in the mid-2000s. Some of those fans want to try e-bikes. The Rouvida keeps those fans happy with Cervelo. The important thing is that Cervelo says that going fast is fun. The Rouvida has a Fazua Ride 60 motor that helps you go fast. It is a Class 3 e-bike, which means it helps you until you go very fast. But the motor is not as strong as some other motors.
You can control the motor with a button on the top of the bike. The button also has a USB port that you can use to charge things or plug in lights. The bike looks like a Cervelo Aspero-5 bike, but it has a 432 Wh battery inside the bike.

Cervelo says the Rouvida is a bike that can be used on road and gravel. But they also have a special feature on the front and back of the bike. They say they are very different from normal flip chips, but they are actually similar. They change the shape of the bike a lot.
The important thing is that they say this feature makes the Rouvida handle well on different tires. One way is good for road tires, and the other way is good for gravel tires. Cervelo has four sizes of the Rouvida, but they also have two different forks to make sure the bike is stable no matter the size.
